What is Self-Hosted?

Definition

Self-hosted software is deployed and run on infrastructure that you own or control, rather than on a vendor's shared cloud. This gives you full control over your data, security configuration, and network access — eliminating reliance on third-party cloud providers for sensitive workloads.

Why It Matters

Engram is fully self-hosted. It runs on your infrastructure, behind your firewall, under your control. Your organizational knowledge never touches external servers.
