What is End-to-End Encryption?

Definition

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) ensures that data is encrypted on the sender's device and only decrypted on the recipient's device. No intermediary — including the service provider — can read the data while it is in transit or stored on their servers.

Why It Matters

Engram uses end-to-end encryption so that organizational knowledge remains private from the point of entry to the point of retrieval, with no exposure to third parties at any stage.
